NGSS Standards:  4.ESS1.1 Identify evidence from patterns in rock formations and fossils in rock layers to support an explanation for changes in landscape over time. 

Description:

Our Discovery Classes offer opportunities to dive deeper into exciting content while also incorporating Next Generation Science Standards.  Students will explore a “Dig site” on the museum grounds that show Mazama and Newberry ash layers to create their own model illustrating the layers of volcanic activity in the region.
