A typical day…
A typical day will include assisting with social media content creation and other communications needs. The intern will help coordinate educational outdoor hikes for the public (twice monthly) and represent Oregon Wild at community events. The intern will also learn about and support grassroots organizing and have the opportunity to meet with with elected officials.
Skills learned…
The intern will gain skills in writing, social media content creation, outdoor leadership, and also learn how to effectively communicate with elected officials and decision-makers.
Schedule and other details…
This internship will have a flexible schedule and opportunities to work in the office, field, and remotely. Some travel around central Oregon and some weekend work will be required.
Job requirements…
This internship will require an interest environmental protection, strong communication skills, familiarity with social media, and the ability to hike outside for 5-10 miles in a day.
