Skyliner Lodge Reservations for Youth Programs

NatureConnect Central Oregon prioritizes youth program use at Skyliner Lodge. Our goal is to promote equitable access to the lodge for schools and a wide range of community groups. We commit to:
- providing free or low cost access for youth programs at the lodge
- ensuring that high-demand times are prioritized for youth programs (summer weekdays, school breaks, spring field trips, etc.)
- providing a transparent and equitable system for youth programs to reserve the lodge during high-demand times
Early Request vs. Standard Reservation
There are two ways to make a reservation for youth programs at Skyliner Lodge.
- Early Request Application: There are 3 Early Request Application Windows each year. These were designed to allow schools and youth-serving organizations to have a fair chance to reserve preferred dates during high demand times.
- Standard Reservation Process: If you missed the Early Request Window, or just need to reserve 1-2 days, any organization or school can reserve the lodge using the Standard Reservation Process. Organizations should also use the Standard Reservation Process for weekend date requests.

Yes. Organizations can request dates in all 3 Early Request Windows. Scheduling dates in one Early Request Window doesn’t impact your organization scheduling dates in another window.
The process for each window varies slightly, but in general, we prioritize requests for organizations/groups providing free programs for underserved youth. Additionally, we strive to grant each applying organization one of their requested dates, before granting additional dates to groups. Finally, we may resolve conflicting requests by making random selections. We strive to have open, transparent communication about our process, and are always open to ideas for improvement.
All summer camp dates are competitive, with demand exceeding available dates. Thursdays and Fridays during the school year, especially in April and May, also tend to fill up.
First, check the calendar. If the dates you want are still available, you can request them at any time them using the Standard Reservation Process.
No. For example, you can’t request summer camp dates for 2027 before the Early Request Window in September 2026. This helps all organizations have a fair chance to get high demand dates. NatureConnect holds these high demand dates for youth programs, and won’t reserve them for private events.
The daily rate for youth programs ranges from $0 to $120 per day, depending on if the program is fee-based or free, and the organization structure. You can find the full fee structure at the Rental Info Brochure (page 4)
