Bring your family to La Pine Park and Recreation District this summer to get your kids moving, exploring, and learning healthy behaviors.

OSU-Extension Nutrition Education Program, La Pine Parks and Recreation District, and the Children’s Forest of Central Oregon are teaming up for 8-weeks of summer programming, targeted at 0-5 year olds and their families.

Dates: Wednesdays, June 26-August 14

Time: 10:30-11:30 AM

Location: La Pine Park and Recreation District (16405 1st Street)

Ages: 5 and under and family (older siblings are welcome)

Cost: Free!

Each week will have a different theme and activity, including preparing a healthy snack. OSU-Extension will offer fun active games and exercise activities on June 26, July 10, July 24, and August 7. The Children’s Forest will offer nature activities in nearby parks and natural areas on July 3, July 17, July 31, and August 14. Please come prepared to spend the majority of the program outdoors. The program will occur rain or shine. The Children’s Forest has baby carriers, sun hats, and sunscreen for families that need them.
