NatureConnect believes that every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy time outdoors. Time outdoors brings so many benefits including improving our quality of life, health, social wellbeing, and bringing joy into our lives. Every dollar that you invest in NatureConnect works towards making the outdoors more accessible and inclusive for children from underrepresented communities.  Read about our impact in 2023-2024 in our Community Report.

Your donation supports:

• Our Field Trip Fund covering bus and substitute costs for outdoor school field trips – Donate to our 2025 Field Trip Fund Campaign! We are raising $12,000 to fund 100+ field trips for 6,000 students.
• Our NatureHoods program for Kindergarten to 2nd grade students from rural and Title I schools
• Free family programs in rural communities
• Fun family events like Discover Nature Festival
• Our Green Jobs Summer Program, providing paid internships for youth from underrepresented communities
• Vámonos Outside’s youth and family programs for Latinx communities
• Training and learning opportunities for our network of partners focused diversity, equity, and inclusion

Vámonos Outside

NatureConnect Central Oregon serves as the fiscal agent for the Vámonos Outside program.  Learn more about their great work connecting Latinx communities to the outdoors here.  To direct a donation to Vámonos Outside, donate by clicking the orange button below, or select “Vámonos Outside” in the drop down menu on our Paypal site.  You can also mail a check to the address above.  Please make out the check to the NatureConnect Central Oregon and write Vámonos Outside in the memo.
