VO’s mission is to connect, engage, and empower our Latinx/BIPOC community by creating outdoor recreation opportunities to make a lasting impact on individuals and families.
A typical day…
A typical day will be spent creating social media content that builds more awareness about VO and works towards building a more inclusive outdoors.The intern take photos, create videos, draft social media posts, create fliers, attend outreach events, and help with other VO events and programs.
Skills learned…
The intern will receive training managing a social media platform and developing high quality content.The intern will also gain skills in communication and design.
Schedule and other details…
The schedule for the intern is flexible with a mix of virtual and in-person work.Some evening and weekend work will be required.Generally, transportation can be arranged with staff for interns living in Bend.
Job requirements…
This position requires experience with social media and good communication skills.Strong oral and written Spanish is preferred.
