A typical day…
This role combines high-quality customer service with operational support, acting as a primary point of contact for walk-in visitors, phone inquiries, and email communications.You will serve as an operational hub for the Visitor Center, assisting with everything from retail inventory to brochure management, all while maintaining a clean and inviting environment for our community and its visitors.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of tourism in Bend, ensuring it remains a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive destination while developing customer service skills, running the cash register, handling brochure and mailing requests and behind the scenes of running a Visitor Center.
Schedule and other details…
This position requires working 3 days per week from 10am-4pm (Monday-Friday) in the Visitor Center in downtown Bend.
Job requirements…
This position is ideal for a proactive individual with local knowledge of Bend’s activities. Strong in-person and phone communication skills are preferred, as well as the ability to problem-solve and work well with others.
The team…
The intern will work closely with the Visitor Center team and be supervised by the Visitor Center Manager, Megan Tacchi. This position will also have opportunities to connect with other Visit Bend departments such as Marketing and Destination Stewardship.
